Philadelphia based “All Up On It” is a seven piece NuJazz Funk band which incorporates aspects of R&B and hip-hop aimed at audiences who would normally listen to urban contemporary radio stations. Philadelphia has a storied and rich tradition and history when it comes to home grown musicians. Occasionally a combination like “ALL UP ON IT” emerges. All world class musicians who have toured with Musiq Soulchild, John Legend, Fred Hammond, The Yellow Jackets, the late Freddie Hubbard, Stevie Wonder, Frankie Beverly, Narada Michael Waldon , Al Green, Glen Lewis, Freddie Jackson, Evelyn Champagne King, Change, Chubby Checker, Denise Williams, Queen Esther Marrow and the Harlem Gospel Singers, Larry Gatlin, John Schneider, The Blue Notes, The Delphonics, Ray Goodman & Brown, Bloodstone, Liz Macomb, Jasmine Sullivan, Charles Earland, Jimmy McGuffey, Dionne Warwick, 112 and Norman Connors. Recently featured at several music festivals nationwide,the band plays original and covers of legendary jazz performers but not the usual standards.
