WDKK RADIO came into existence as the vision of D.A. Williams. Born the youngest son of Philadelphia radio broadcaster Kae Williams Sr., D.A. was exposed to the the influence of broadcasting and music from birth. Growing up in the musically enriched city of Philadelphia exposed him to many different styles of music which seemed to cross the boundaries of many of the societal prejudices of the day.
Spending summers in the family owned record shop and cutting his teeth on the back of chairs in the popular Uptown Theater, D.A. was surrounded by many of the local and national recording artist who frequented both. D.A.’s brother Kar Jr. was a keyboardist with Arista recoding artist Breakwater as well as a noted writer/producer. This family legacy is the underlying motivation for D.A. and WDKK RADIO.
