Summers in Philly were filled with block parties, concerts in the parks and weekend dances better known as “The Battle of The Bands”. Out of these came some of the most sought after studio musicians and performers of the modern era.

D.A. Williams and Wardell Potts Jr. welcome to WDKK Radio a line-up of these musicians to remeber the past, talk about the present and the future of the unique sound of the city of “Brotherly Love”

Steve Green, Pete Rudd, Harold Simms, Gerald James, Brian Evans, Rod Jefferson and Thomas Bucknasty.
