There are some very interesting developments taking place with broadcast media. From The Performance Act to lawsuits againts sites as Limewire and Youtube.

Social networking is changing the way music is being sold and distributed.  Key to this transition in the industry is Internet Broadcasting. Viewing this next step in broadcasting in light of the historical development of radio broadcasting, can be of assistance in charting the future of broadcast media.

Not to view it in that light will cause a very narrow viw of the potential of Internet broadcasting and may create the same competitive, non-cooperative approach that has terrestrial radio grid locked now.

  1. What are the models of the past that worked and how can they be applied today?
  2. How can Internet broadcasters best assist independent artist?
  3. Can Internet broadcasting fill the gap between traditional radio and local listeners?

These are a few of the topics we’ll discuss on the “The Past, Present and Future of Broadcast Media” broadcast on WDKK RADIO, Monday May 17th  at 8PM EST.
